KETCHUP

At the beginning of summer I made a goal to be really good about blogging.
I've failed.
So here is the ultimate CATCH UP... or ketchup. ;)
(its another long one.. so sorry.)

What we have been loving:
Our summer! We have loved spending so much time together. This is our last "easy" summer for a while. Next summer Jordan will be in dental school working his butt off.
We love our movie nights. We try to see one movie a week. Its our favorite date night. (do me a favor and DON'T see the gift.)
We really love the mail my mom has been sending us. She finds any reason to mail us a package. She even sent Jordan his favorite popcorn.

What we have been eating:
Sushi (finally found TWO great places in utah. Thank you liv and will), fast food, quesadillas, HOT DOGS, cotton candy (s/o to C&B for having a machine that we use all the time!), popcorn, and lots of other CRAP! Worst eaters ever!

What we have been celebrating:
Kenzie's first birthday, Ju's birthday, Dorkney's birthday, sassy's birthday, Jessie bear's bridal shower, the 7 year anniversary of the day we met,
JORDAN!!! (Interviews have been slowly rolling in and so far he has gotten some of his top schools (*cough cough U PENN AND COLUMBIA!!!!!!))

Where we have been going:
THE ZOO. like all the time. I love taking the kids to the zoo on the days jordan doesn't have work.
We went to a bee's game for date night.
I took sassy to the aquarium to feed the penguins for her birthday. THEY WERE SO CUTE! heart eyes all day!
Court, our moms and I went to a spa where we got a little muddy ;)

What we have been trying:
We've been trying to be better about our scripture reading. Jordan has been trying to drink less soda. I've been trying to talk myself into cutting off all my hair. Total hair rut going on! I want hair like the picture below.

Who we have been missing:
Our family in CA. I especially miss my missionary bro.

What we have been thinking about:
DENTAL SCHOOL DENTAL SCHOOL DENTAL SCHOOL DENTAL SCHOOL.
"IS JORDAN GOING TO GET AN INTERVIEW TODAY?"
WHERE ARE WE GOING TO LIVE NEXT YEAR?

thats about it. truly.

What we are looking forward to:
Traveling to Philly & NYC for jordans interviews.
Jordan receiving more interviews.
Fall in Utah.
& much, much more.

OUR FIRST ANNIVERSARY

Yesterday we celebrated our first anniversary! It is so crazy that our big day was one whole year ago.
I have LOVED being married to Jordan!
Before we got married we dated long distance.
First we were apart for his mission and then while he was away to school.
It was about four years long distance total, so once we got married it was bliss just being able to see each other every day.

I love the life that we have started to build.
There is not a day that goes by that I am not THRILLED with my decision to marry my Jordan.
He has made marriage the easiest thing I've ever done.
I love him and I thank my Heavenly Father for him everyday.
I feel so blessed to have met and married my husband so young.
I can't wait to continue to grow together.
We have such a bright future head and I'm so glad that I get to experience it with my best friend and love.

Yesterday we had an interesting anniversary celebration.

Jordan was asked to host a Dentist from Boston for the weekend while he spoke at the LDS Academy of Dentists. The Doctor spoke on our anniversary so Jordan had to be there from 7am-6pm.
We weren't bummed because we have a late anniversary trip to New York planned for October, so we were going to have a low key anniversary no matter what.

I went to the first half of the dental conference then I went shopping and over to a friend's house to swim while jordan finished the conference. I was grateful to get out of the conference (I swear all the presentations went WAY over my head) and see some friends that I don't see very often.
Once the conference was over we dropped the doctor off at his hotel and headed to our favorite restaurant, Market Street Grill.
We both had steak with crab on top and ended the night with creme brûlée. It was AMAZING!

Last week while we were in California we picked up our "top tier" of our wedding cake. The bakery that made our wedding cake told us not to freeze the top tier because they would gift us a little cake on our anniversary that would taste much, much better.

While we were wedding planning, Jordan was the easiest groom around. He didn't care about anything, he just wanted me happy.
The ONLY thing he wanted was to shove cake in my face. I think it was because as a guy that was one of the only things he knew about weddings.
Well, my mom and I are ANTI cake shoving.
That just wasn't going to fly with me.
Leading up to the wedding my dad would egg Jordan on to irritate my mom and I.
At the wedding my dad even told Jordan that he would give him $500 to smash it my face.
Thanks dad -_-
But Jordan was the great guy that he is and respected my wishes...
 Under ONE condition...
He wanted to smash the anniversary cake it my face on our anniversary.
So I let him, and I had my friend Kelsey capture it.
It was actually quite fun since I didn't worry about the cake in my hair, on my dress, or all over my make up.

Happy anniversary Jordan. Thank you for being mine.
Love you forever.
