OUR FIRST ANNIVERSARY

Yesterday we celebrated our first anniversary! It is so crazy that our big day was one whole year ago.
I have LOVED being married to Jordan!
Before we got married we dated long distance.
First we were apart for his mission and then while he was away to school.
It was about four years long distance total, so once we got married it was bliss just being able to see each other every day.

I love the life that we have started to build.
There is not a day that goes by that I am not THRILLED with my decision to marry my Jordan.
He has made marriage the easiest thing I've ever done.
I love him and I thank my Heavenly Father for him everyday.
I feel so blessed to have met and married my husband so young.
I can't wait to continue to grow together.
We have such a bright future head and I'm so glad that I get to experience it with my best friend and love.

Yesterday we had an interesting anniversary celebration.

Jordan was asked to host a Dentist from Boston for the weekend while he spoke at the LDS Academy of Dentists. The Doctor spoke on our anniversary so Jordan had to be there from 7am-6pm.
We weren't bummed because we have a late anniversary trip to New York planned for October, so we were going to have a low key anniversary no matter what.

I went to the first half of the dental conference then I went shopping and over to a friend's house to swim while jordan finished the conference. I was grateful to get out of the conference (I swear all the presentations went WAY over my head) and see some friends that I don't see very often.
Once the conference was over we dropped the doctor off at his hotel and headed to our favorite restaurant, Market Street Grill.
We both had steak with crab on top and ended the night with creme brûlée. It was AMAZING!

Last week while we were in California we picked up our "top tier" of our wedding cake. The bakery that made our wedding cake told us not to freeze the top tier because they would gift us a little cake on our anniversary that would taste much, much better.

While we were wedding planning, Jordan was the easiest groom around. He didn't care about anything, he just wanted me happy.
The ONLY thing he wanted was to shove cake in my face. I think it was because as a guy that was one of the only things he knew about weddings.
Well, my mom and I are ANTI cake shoving.
That just wasn't going to fly with me.
Leading up to the wedding my dad would egg Jordan on to irritate my mom and I.
At the wedding my dad even told Jordan that he would give him $500 to smash it my face.
Thanks dad -_-
But Jordan was the great guy that he is and respected my wishes...
 Under ONE condition...
He wanted to smash the anniversary cake it my face on our anniversary.
So I let him, and I had my friend Kelsey capture it.
It was actually quite fun since I didn't worry about the cake in my hair, on my dress, or all over my make up.

Happy anniversary Jordan. Thank you for being mine.
Love you forever.
