HAWAII 2015

Throoooowback (because i forgot to blog about this trip!)
I got to travel to hawaii in december with my uncle's family! Working as their nanny has about a million perks but this one was the best! I'm so lucky to have them in my life!
We spent ten days drinking pina coladas, swimming, wandering the island, and EATING!
It was heaven! I spent most of my time with the "baby" while the big kids went on excursions and I loved it! He is my best buddy! We stayed at the disney resort and it was so magical!
Just take a look!

I can't wait to go back to aulani later this year with my parents and siblings!

LOVE DAY

I LOVE VALENTINES DAY!

I love any excuse for a date with my guy, flowers, and chocolate!

We had the best valentines day weekend!
I love my love!

I've been seeing this questionnaire going around so i decided to take it.. because you know, love!

 1. Where did you meet your other half?
We met at my best friend’s 16th birthday party at Huntington Beach! (jordan was friends with courtney but actually wasn’t invited. I’m reeeally glad he crashed the party!)

 2. How long have you been with your significant other?
About 8 years! Wow this makes me feel old...

3. If you’re married, when did you say “I do”?
We were married on August 15th 2014! BEST DAY EVER!

 4. What song did you walk down the aisle to?
We didn’t walk down an aisle because we were married in an LDS temple but we danced our first dance to the song “Turning Page”. I wouldn’t call it “our song” tho. We don’t have one so we just chose one we liked and danced to it!

                                                    5. Do you have any children yet?
Not yet! Can’t wait for that day tho!

6. What’s your favorite thing about your other half?
Gosh... everything?! I love that he is my opposite in so many ways. I love how he completes me. I love how hard he works! But ultimately, I just love “us” and how well we work together! I’m so grateful he is my partner in life.

 7. Were you and your other half high school sweethearts?
OH YEAH! We were one of those couples that everyone knew we would get married (which both frustrated me and made me kind of proud).

 8. Where was your first date?
DISNEYLAND! We went on a group date with some friends and my girl friend was CONVINCED that she was going to get kissed that night from her date. She had been waiting for weeks! We got her all dolled up and ready for her big date. I was more focused on her but when we got to disneyland I realized that I actually kind of liked Jordan and I ended up being the one who got kissed that night! The rest is history! haha! Sorry Jenny! You got kissed the next night! ;)

 9. How long were you dating before you said “I love you”?
Gosh, i’m not sure? We were very young so we waited for months. It wasn’t some magical moment. It was more natural? idk? We were 16 hahaha!

 10. How long were you dating your other half before he/she proposed?
uhhhhh 5 years! We got engaged on the 5th anniversary of our first date! Oh it was so perfect!

 11. Where is your favorite place you have traveled with your other half?
We have traveled a bit since being married but I think my favorite would have to be our honeymoon in cabo. It was the first time we had traveled alone and it was so nice to just relax together for a week!

12. How do you and your other half usually spend Valentines Day?
We have our valentine’s day tradition... We don’t do gifts for each other besides flowers for me and candies for him. We use the money that we would have spent on gifts and go out and splurge on a fancy dinner! This year's dinner/date didn't disappoint (well actually, jordan's pork chops did!)

 13. What does your favorite date night’ consist of?
Easy! Dinner and a movie! We see AT LEAST one movie a week. It is what we choose to spend our money on and we love it!

 14. What is the best gift you have received from your other half?
Material gifts are great but my favorite “gift” was when he was away at college and showed up at my door back home to surprise me! We spent the entire weekend together and that weekend holds some of my favorite memories! It was just months before he left on his mission and really solidified our relationship when we needed it most!

Happy valentines day to you!

remember the holidays??

Valentines Day is this weekend so I think its about time to post about thanksgiving, christmas, and new years eve....

i know, so embarrassing.

I had individual posts for every holiday but now that it is February I decided to just combine.

i know, i know.

lets start with thanksgiving...

Jordan and I were kind of dreading thanksgiving (sorry mom and dad). We had been traveling like CRAZY and just didn't feel up for another trip. Thanks to a lot of persuading from my mom and dad we made the 10 hour drive... & I'm SO glad we did!
We had so much fun with my brother and parents that week!
Our thanksgiving was so tiny this year because the majority of the family decided to stay in Utah, but it was kind of refreshing have an adult only, calm day.
I hope next year we have our usual kid crazy dinner, though!

Dec. 23rd was jordan's birthday and we were in CA!
We spent the day doing his favorite things... EATING AND SEEING A MOVIE!
We slept in, went to his favorite sushi restaurant with my parents, laid low, went to dinner with both of our families, then saw star wars!
I love this guy so much! I am the luckiest to be his wife!

Christmas!!!

I did a horrible job documenting christmas this year! I was so busy enjoying my family that i didn't even pick up my phone, let alone my big camera!

We started our christmas eve with my family and we drove down near the beach for Cafe Rio. Us Californians don't have the privilege of having cafe rio on every corner so we have to go to great lengths to get it.

That night we spent christmas eve with jordan's family. We went to both sides of grandparents houses.

I got a snap chat from my brother while I was at jordan's grandparents of him and my best friend and her husband. They happened to be at the same restaurant as my family for christmas eve. I was so sad to have missed them because I hadn't seen them since their wedding. Splitting up holidays between families can be so sad when you know you're missing a party haha. Luckily for me, we ended up having a very late night party when jordan and I got home from his side! We got home at about 10:30 and our best family friends came over to do our gift exchange and play games (games never quite happened, tho. too much chit chat!) And then my bff and her husband came over! It was so fun to talk!

Christmas morning was great! We opened up presents with just the 5 of us and it was so nice. We were gifted the best things and felt very blessed. We spent some time with jordan's parents that morning before we skyped adam.

Obviously, our highlight was seeing our elder! He looked so good and was so spiritual! I am so glad that was his last christmas Skype. I hate being away from each other during the holidays! NEXT YEAR WE WILL ALL BE TOGETHER!!!

The rest of the day was spent in PJs and eating way too much!
We were so lucky to have some little cousins visit from Utah. It just isn't the same with out the littles around so I was glad to at least have 5 of them!

Last but not least... NYE!!

NYE is eeeeeeasily my favorite holiday! Jordan's too! Every year my parents throw a party where we play games and EAT! I look forward to this so much! I get to ring in the new year with the people i love most. There is always such a positive vibe at the party! Gah how many more days until this years party??

New Years Day is always spent in bed. My family loves lounging in bed. It drives jordan nuts but we don't care. My dad always makes a steak and crab dinner for us and we enjoy it in our PJs.

okay, thats it for the 2015 holidays! That was a lot to recap but I'm sure glad I have it documented so I can remember it forever!

HAPPY 2016 ;)

a little day date

Oh this poor neglected blog!
I have so many posts waiting in drafts (hawaii, christmas, jordan's bday, NYE, etc etc etc). I sadly left my memory card in CA & I just can't get myself to blog those events until I get my pictures from my big camera back!

This last Monday, Jordan took me on a day date to the midway ice castles.

With only THREE months left in Utah we have felt this odd pressure to soak in every last bit of the state and this was on the top of our Utah bucket list (don't get me started on our Utah food list we have made. So much to eat, so little time).

PLUS, we had a very stressful few weeks so we were both craving a relaxing afternoon.

SO a day date was a perfect way to relax and enjoy each other.

I love my guy and our time together. I know someday i'll look back on these times when it was just the two of us going on these fun, spontaneous dates with the fondest memories.
